Three men were riding on an Artic Cat all terrain vehicle (ATV) on Sunday in Northwest St. Johns County on a dirt road when the ATV overturned.
One of the men was taken to Shands Jacksonville with critical injuries. One of the other two men was taken to Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine and the third was treated at the scene.
ATV rollover accidents are all too common. Unfortunately, such accidents often cause serious personal injuries and death. ATVs accelerate very quickly, turn sharply and have a high center of gravity. All riders of ATVs should wear helmets and make sure that the driver is experienced and safe.
