Car Crash on A1A in Ponte Vedra Sends Woman to Hospital

A woman driving approximately 100 miles per hour on A1A in St. Johns County, Florida, lost control of her car and was ejected when the car rolled over. Deputies were attempting to catch up with the woman but because of her excess speed did not reach her until after the car accident occured. The woman was airlifted to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center.

The reason for her reckless driving has not been reported. Thankfully, she did not cause an accident with another vehicle. Situations like this are a good reminder of the importance of uninsured motorist coverage. Often people that are willing to put others at risk do not have much, if any, bodily injury insurance coverage. If you are injured by such a driver, your own uninsured motorist coverage may be your only source to pay your medical bills and replace your lost wages.
